The value stream exercise has been useful for clarifying something. The interesting moment in the ICS or NCS pipeline isn’t when a proposal gets created in Dolibarr — it’s the bit before that, when a person decides to reach out. Everything that follows is just the org catching up to a decision they already made.
For NCS especially, that matters. By the time a school or community group contacts us, they’ve often already hit a wall somewhere else. The contact form, the intake record, the Dolibarr entry — those aren’t the value. The value is having a clear next step ready when they arrive. The architecture work is about making sure the org doesn’t fumble that moment.
Current-state gaps are mostly manual: email triage before an intake form exists, no standard ICS proposal template, uneven handoffs between intake and delivery. The distance between someone contacting us and knowing exactly what happens next is wider than it should be.
